Ancient Roman Aqueduct

Anyone who has spent some time on the road probably knows how valuable ancient treasures are, and what they can tell about the development of civilizations and cities.

Luxembourg has many examples, which perfectly demonstrate the presence of all kinds of ancient archaeological values.

For example, many know about the tunnel of Roman origin.

It should be noted that the work of the Romans is very significant. Just on the general line, there is a whole series of mines, which are connected by about 600 meters of gallery.

The water supply must be in working order today, every day, giving 180 cubic meters of water suitable for drinking. No repair work is carried out with this area because it is a cultural and archaeological value for the whole of Luxembourg.

Raschptzer is impressive at first glance with its dimensions. As stated above, in general, its length is 600 meters, of which only 330 meters have been explored.

Some of the wells in this section go more than 36 meters deep, and this is what makes the tunnel special and one of a kind.
